Tonight we are hearing testimony to support HCR21 and HCR22, resolutions filed by Representatives Tricia Byrnes and Richard West. In front of me sits a room full of those fighting to protect their communities affected by Manhattan Project radioactive waste that still today contaminates our environment. These community leaders have been dedicated to this for over a decade. Even after years of being publicly attacked, falsly accused of trying to profiteer, and drug through the mud as corporations and our federal government have tried to protect their dollars, this group continues to fight for the health and safety of Missourians. They are an inspiration!
